My Personal Smoothie Recipe for Intimate Vitality

Pre-, Pro- and Postbiotics. Yes. They are all in my smoothie.

Hello, my sweet friend!

I have some sexual health advice for you instead of my usual intimacy tips. Because there are three legs to the sensual stool of love: 1) Communication, 2) Techniques, and 3) HEALTH!

Your gut is the foundation of your energy, vitality, hormone production, health span, and immune system integrity. We all need to shore up our microbiome between the foods we eat, the antibiotics we’ve been exposed to, and the stress we are under. Smoothies are a fast and delicious way to heal your gut, so you have a thriving libido and lust for life.

Here’s what’s in my smoothie — take what you want.

I like to work out and break my fast with a protein smoothie. Smoothies are as individual as the people who make them. Here’s the smoothie I feed Tim and me in the mornings to boost our mitochondrial energy, heal our guts and restore our microbiome.

Adam Armstrong’s Huge Load Formulas for sexual vitality and Dr. William Davis’ gut-healing advice from his books Undoctored and his new book, Super Gut, influence my mixture.

Some people like green vegetable smoothies, but we prefer a more fruit-forward morning smoothie for the antioxidants and pleasure. I put green powders in my fruit smoothie. I don’t need fresh greens and can even use frozen fruit, so it’s not shopping-dependent.

I go through what I use precisely and why in this article. This synergistic mix provides good protein, pre-, pro-and postbiotics (some magical ones for skin health and sexual vitality), anti-inflammatory gut-healing ingredients, and even nutrients that increase mitophagy and muscle recovery and keep me strong.

  • Probiotics are good bacteria that perform all sorts of functions, such as helping your mood, keeping your skin healthy, and even helping you slim your waistline.
  • Prebiotics are the nutrients and fiber that probiotic bacteria eat.
  • Postbiotics are the bioactive compounds the probiotic bacteria produce that can have additional beneficial effects, such as helping you build or maintain muscle tissue. Muscle is what my friend, Dr. Gabrielle Lyons, calls the Organ of Longevity.™

The stronger and more fit you are, the more energy you have. The more power you have, the more you have the bandwidth to enjoy excellent intimacy.

Mitophagy is a subset of autophagy. When I’ve written to you about the ProLon Fasting-Mimicking Diet — the fasting diet that lets you eat — I’ve explained that your cells need time for spring cleaning. They break and make imperfect copies, and autophagy is the process your body uses to get rid of the damaged cells so you can make fresh ones. Mitophagy refers to the spring cleaning of the batteries IN your cells, your mitochondria. One of the ingredients in my smoothie cleans the batteries in your muscles and helps you build strength faster, especially if you’re older.

OK, science lessons are over… And one quick note. That link above to the ProLon food box will save you at least $62 or more if you want to try it. Tim and I do the 5-day fasting-mimicking diet every quarter, especially when traveling and eating out. Must clean out the pipes!

Here are the ingredients in my smoothie:

  • Raspberries, Blueberries, and Banana
  • Collage Protein
  • Green Powders and Spirulina
  • Nut Milk
  • Homemade Yogurt
  • Colostrum
  • Aloe Vera
  • Biome Breakthrough
  • Fresh Ground Flaxseed
  • Mitopure™ Urolithin-A

Let’s dive into what and why each of these ingredients gets to go in my gut each morning.

Raspberries, Blueberries, and Banana

I use a combination of fresh and frozen when possible. I give Tim 2/3rd of the banana. These are excellent antioxidants.

Collage Protein

I use Bulletproof or Organixx. They taste great. Organixx has five types of collagen. It helps skin tone and joint mobility and cleans up your arteries. Protein is what you need to keep muscle mass and not feel hungry.

Green Powders and Spirulina

I give my green powder a boost with additional spirulina. It’s a blue-green alga that is nutrient-dense and very alkalizing. Processed foods make us acidic, which leads to disease. So I sneak a teaspoon of this in to fortify our greens.

Nut Milk

Everyone knows dairy is sugar. Milk is not that good for most of us. Nut milk is the future now.

I’ve started making my cashew milk with the Almond Cow machine. For $200, you can quickly pay for this device within weeks. A single plastic bottle of nut milk costs nearly $10 around my town. And I don’t like filling up the trash with plastic bottles.

Homemade cashew milk is delicious and has no gums or thickeners to gum up your plumbing.

I pour nuts into a cup, press a button, and get nut milk. I’ll never go back to the store-bought.

Homemade Yogurt

Yes, I make my yogurt too. And you can too!

In 2019 when I interviewed Dr. William Davis for my Sexual Vitality Summit, he talked about a bacteria called lactobacillus reuterii. Stanford and MIT have studied it for some pretty stunning documented properties:

  • Smooths Wrinkles, Increases Hydration, and works in concert with the Collagen in your smoothie.
  • Boosts Oxytocin making you like people more by increasing empathy. (We should force-feed this to Americans!)
  • Increases Muscle and Strength.
  • Halts Muscle Loss and Frailty.
  • Augments Immune Response.

Bill Davis is one of the nicest doctors you could ever meet. He gave up cardiology to help people lose weight. He knew that he was working on the wrong end of the system. I’ve been eating this yogurt since 2019. I have a new batch of yogurt brewing in the kitchen with two new bacteria:

Lactobacillus gasseri and Bacillus coagulans. The first will reduce waist size by an inch when consumed over 90 days, reduce IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) symptoms, reduce oxalate levels which lead to kidney stones, and protect against SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth — where the harmful bacteria crawl up out of your bowels and colonize your small intestines, making you sick, food intolerant and giving you a host of nasty issues.)

Coagulans also help with IBS, reduce inflammation, reduce arthritis pain, and accelerate muscle recovery after exercise.

I’m quoting all of this out of Bill’s book, Super Gut, which has the recipes for making these yogurts. Yogurt is super easy to make. The crap at the store is just sugar. There is no decent amount of probiotics in it, and it has a lot of added chemicals and natural flavors, which are also just chemicals.

It’s best to make your yogurt and mylk (that’s how people spell nut mylk to distinguish it from dairy).

I’ve spent a decade fixing my gut from gluten intolerance and covid beating. These yogurts have been one of the things that make my tummy feel better.

If you have any digestive issues, try this. Making yogurt is so easy.

Colostrum

This is a nutrient from the mother’s milk of cows. It seals the intestinal lining if you have a leaky gut.

Aloe Vera

The juice of this plant helps your poop float out of your butt like butterflies. It seals the junctions of your leaky gut. It helps with joint mobility and skin resiliency.

You know I’m vain as hell. You see me putting pictures of myself on Instagram and all my emails. I care about my skin, yes. But I also know it’s the biggest organ in my body. Our skin is a vital organ. Keeping it moist and supple helps extend our health span.

Biome Breakthrough

This powder kills off bad and feeds good bacteria in your gut. Many harmful bacteria in your stomach won’t leave because they camp out in their “biofilms,” which protect themselves from antimicrobials and your immune cells. An ingredient from egg whites called IgYmax can disrupt these harmful biofilms. The good bacteria strains in Biome Breakthrough are Lactobacillus Gasseri, Rhamnosus, and Helvetica. The IgYmax and good bacteria strains help reshape your gut biome and create more good biofilms.

IgYmax and synbiotics (probiotics and prebiotics). It is synergistically designed to weed out harmful bacteria and reseed the good ones and repair the gut lining.

WEED AND SEED

If you talk to Bill Davis, he uses the analogy that you need to weed and seed. That’s what Biome Breakthrough is doing.

Fresh Ground Flaxseed

I have a second coffee grinder I use just for flaxseeds. I grind them fresh every morning. Super easy! They provide the ALA form of Omega 3 fatty acids your body can’t make on its own. They have both soluble and insoluble fiber — which gets fermented by the bacteria in your intestines to keep you regular and feed the good bacteria. Excellent omegas and fiber. Flaxseeds are a godsend superfood, just like spirulina.

that helps with mitophagy (cleaning your mitochondrial cell batteries, so you have more energy) and muscle growth.

By the time you are 40, you are in decline.

This molecule stimulates this crucial recycling and cleansing process – ultimately protecting cells from the age-associated decline in three key areas:

  • Renewed Mitochondria
  • Reduced Inflammation
  • Stronger Muscles

Mitopure™ comes in a whey protein powder, and the vanilla is DELICIOUS. You can take it in pill form when you travel, and there is a powder you can mix in a smoothie or yogurt. You have options.

Add it into your mix to accelerate your muscle mass when you work out.

Remember, muscles are your longevity organ!

I blend all these ingredients up and drink them for my first meal of the day. I try most days just to have one more meal. Then eat it early in the evening and break my fast after exercising.

This is a fasting window of at least 12 hours, giving your body time to clean out the debris.

Detoxing, autophagy, fasting windows, fasting-mimicking diets, and building muscle will keep your body working well into old age.

Hit me up in the comments below if you have any questions.

Note: Everything that can be organic is. The fruits, the flaxseeds, the collagen, the colostrum…  I’m trying to detox my body, not add more pesticides and chemicals in!

  1. So, I’m curious. Are you saying you have one smoothie for breakfast and one meal for dinner? And that’s it?! Howmany calories are you eating? This sounds very small!!! Where do you get your veggies and salads? Do you eat nuts snd nut butters? Can you get the cows milk ingredients from plant sources?
