In last week’s episode dipped our toes into the news pool with a discussion of researching our family tree in newspapers with Jane  Knowles Lindsey, President of the California Genealogical Society. In today’s episode we’re going to take it further as Jane tells us about the kinds of gems that we can find in newspapers

Newspapers offer such a unique perspective on history in general, and our ancestors specifically.  You can find everything from birth, marriage and death announcements, to school and club event, crime stories, sports activities and just about any other activity that your ancestors were part of that made the news.  So let’s get back to our conversation with Jane and read all about it!
